Manor Lords: The Roles and Land Strategies of Archers

About the uses of archers: Archers are often criticized for their low output, fragility, and vulnerability to attacks due to their limited range.

Manor Lords: The Roles and Land Strategies of Archers

However, it is worth noting that archers tend to attract high aggro from enemies, making them a valuable distraction on the battlefield. Opponents often target archers with various tactics, allowing players to strategically position archers as bait while deploying shieldmen to defend them and infantry units to flank the enemy from the sides. This tactical approach can help weaken the opponent’s advantage by luring them into a trap, although it may come at the cost of losing some archers in the process.

Trading Post (Warehouse) Stall Allocation:
A common issue in Manor Lords is that even with enough staff working at the trading post (warehouse), goods sometimes cannot be properly allocated to the market. This is because the market has three types of stalls (food, fuel, clothing) that are mutually exclusive, leading to imbalanced allocation of goods. To address this issue, one simple solution is to temporarily dismantle the stalls at the trading post and reassign staff, effectively refreshing the allocation of stall types. It may require multiple attempts to achieve the desired stall balance.

Castle Upgrading Issue:
One of the most frustrating issues in Manor Lords is when the market has goods available but the castle shows no supply. This occurs because residents living further away from the stalls receive supplies last, resulting in incomplete distribution of goods. An effective solution is to reserve some open space near un-upgraded castle areas. By relocating the market closer to the area needing upgrading before initiating the upgrade process, goods will be supplied to the desired location. Once the upgrade is started, the market can be moved back to its original position without waiting for the upgrade to complete.

Tree Cutting and Planting:
Based on my experience, fully staffed lumber camps have efficiency comparable to fully staffed forester lodges in terms of tree cutting. To maintain a sustainable wood production chain, it is recommended to allocate resources equally between tree cutting and tree planting (based on buildings rather than manual labor).
