Wuthering Waves: Banner and Gacha Resource Introduction

Banner Introduction

Currently, there are five types of banners in Mingchao, namely Novice Invocation, Character Event Invocation, Weapon Event Invocation, Character Permanent Invocation, and Weapon Permanent Invocation.

The probability rules for each banner are as follows: The rate of obtaining 5-star characters/weapons in the character pool is 0.8% per pull, with a maximum of one 5-star character/weapon guaranteed within 80 pulls (if obtained earlier, the count resets); the rate of obtaining 4-star characters/weapons is 6% per pull, with a maximum of one 4-star character/weapon guaranteed within 10 pulls (if obtained earlier, the count resets).

1. Novice Invocation

This banner is a special pool for novices, limited to 50 pulls per person (due to discounts, completing the entire pool only requires consuming 40 Gacha resources). Every 10 pulls in this banner guarantees one 4-star character or weapon, and if a 5-star content is pulled, it must be a 5-star character.

If no 5-star character is obtained within the first 40 pulls of this banner, the 50th pull will guarantee a 5-star character (no guarantee if obtained earlier).

This banner disappears after 50 pulls.

2. Character Event Invocation

This banner features corresponding up characters, with one 5-star character and three 4-star characters.

Every 10 pulls in this banner guarantee one 4-star weapon/character, and if a 5-star content is pulled, it must be a 5-star character.

If a 5-star character is pulled in this banner, there’s a 50% chance it will be an up character for the current period; if it’s a non-up character, the next 5-star character pulled will be guaranteed to be an up character (i.e., the “pity” system).

If a 4-star character is pulled in this banner, there’s a 50% chance it will be one of the current up characters; if it’s a non-up character, the next 4-star character pulled will be one of the current up characters.

The up characters in this banner will change over time and have an inheritance mechanism.

3. Weapon Event Invocation

This banner features corresponding up weapons, with one 5-star weapon and three 4-star weapons, applicable to the up characters in the Character Event Invocation pool.

Every 10 pulls in this banner guarantee one 4-star weapon/character, and if a 5-star content is pulled, it must be a 5-star weapon.

If a 5-star weapon is pulled in this banner, it must be applicable to the 5-star up character in the Character Event Invocation pool.

If a 4-star weapon is pulled in this banner, it must be applicable to one of the three 4-star up characters in the Character Event Invocation pool.

The up weapons in this banner will change over time and have an inheritance mechanism.

4. Character Permanent Invocation

This banner has no up characters, meaning “the 5-star outcome is entirely luck-based.”

Every 10 pulls in this banner guarantee one 4-star weapon/character, and if a 5-star content is pulled, it must be a 5-star character.

The number of 5-star characters in this banner may increase over time.

5. Weapon Permanent Invocation

In this banner, you can select one 5-star weapon.

Every 10 pulls in this banner guarantee one 4-star weapon/character, and if a 5-star content is pulled, it must be the selected 5-star weapon.

Direct Gacha Resources

1. Invocation Echo Ripple: Used for Novice Invocation, Character Permanent Invocation, and Weapon Permanent Invocation banners.
2. Floating Gold Ripple: Used for Character Event Invocation banner.
3. Casting Tide Ripple: Used for Weapon Event Invocation banner.

Derived Gacha Resources

1. Star Voice: Obtained through completing storyline tasks, daily tasks, purchasing monthly cards, participating in events, etc. Can be exchanged for all direct Gacha resources at a ratio of 160:1 (i.e., 160 Star Voices can purchase one Gacha resource).
2. Lunar Phase: Obtained through recharging and purchasing monthly cards (exchange rate of 1r = 10 Lunar Phases), can be directly exchanged for Star Voice at a ratio of 1:1.
3. Ripple Coral: Obtained through Gacha, obtaining a 5-star character awards 15 Ripple Coral, which increases to 40 after obtaining the same 5-star character eight times or more; obtaining a 4-star character awards 3 Ripple Coral, which increases to 8 after obtaining the same 4-star character eight times or more. Can be used to exchange for direct Gacha resources at a ratio of 8:1.
4. Residual Resonance Coral: Obtained through Gacha, obtaining a three-star weapon awards 15 Residual Resonance Coral. Can be used to exchange for direct Gacha resources at a ratio of 70:1 (each Gacha resource is limited to 6 purchases, with the purchase limit refreshing monthly).
