Wuthering Waves: Recommended Equipment and Team Combinations for Danjin

Weapon selection and benefits
If using the 1st-tier permanent five-star weapon “Qian Gu Xu” with 0 chain Danjin, the effectiveness is considered 100%.
5th-tier “Fei Jing” is approximately 90.9% effective.
The heavy blow damage bonus is significant, but there is a bit of dilution. Additionally, the skills of “Qian Gu Xu” are also fully utilized.
5th-tier “Bu Gui Gu Jun” is approximately 92.7% effective.
With 1 chain or higher, it drops to 90%, so Danjin is still a solid choice, but this weapon is not highly recommended.
5th-tier “Xi Sheng” and “Duan Zao Xun Dao” are both approximately 86% effective.
“Duan Zao Xun Dao” does not provide as much heavy injury as “Fei Jing” and has been reduced in the third test.
The aforementioned weapons are recommended for use, while others are not.
Set and main/sub attribute selection for sound fragments
Recommended set: 43311
“Chen Ri Jie Ming”
Main sound fragment: “Wu Guan Zhe”≈ “Zhen Duo Le Shi” (summon)≈ “Ci Mei Gu” (summon)> “An Zong Lang” (transformation)
Explanation for main sound fragment: “Wu Guan Zhe” requires the final hit for the buff to be activated, making it less effective than “Ci Mei Gu.” The transformation of “Wu Guan Zhe” occurs in the air, and the cancelation of dodges is done after a backflip, which is not convenient for Danjin. “Zhen Duo Le Shi” and “Ci Mei Gu” are two different options. For high-damage output, “Zhen Duo Le Shi” is better (providing a total of 17 attached injuries if all damage is dealt, including the last hit), but if not, “Ci Mei Gu” is a safer choice. “An Zong Lang” transformation carries a high risk for Danjin.
Main attribute selection:
4C: Critical rate/critical damage
3C: Recommended with 2 attribute damages
1C: Attack
Sub-attribute selection:
Priority: Double burst>large attack≈heavy blow bonus>E bonus≈small attack
Final sub-attribute selection: double burst+heavy blow bonus+large attack+small attack/E bonus
Additional notes on sub-attribute selection: Danjin can accumulate passive energy by using empty E during combat, then use full energy heavy blows during the output window. Therefore, in actual combat, the ratio of heavy blow damage to E damage is higher than calculated.
Skill upgrade priority
Resonance Loop>Ultimate>Resonance Skill>Normal Attack>Variation Skill
Recommended team composition
Danjin as the main C
Danjin+Mortefi/Taoqi/Jianxin+Support
Danjin’s output process is smooth enough that additional secondary Cs are not necessary.
Mortefi can provide heavy blow extension buffs, offering relatively good damage support for Danjin. However, in practice, during Mortefi’s extension buff period (14 seconds), Danjin can only use the Resonance Loop twice at most, thus the effect is limited. However, with 1 chain Mortefi, every time Danjin uses the E skill, they can trigger Mortefi’s coordinated attack. In practice, Danjin triggers 8 enhanced sounds with 3A3E, surpassing even Ji Yan (in single-target environments).
Taoqi and Jianxin provide shields for Danjin, enhancing survivability and preventing sudden death. Jianxin’s healing is essentially negligible, since Danjin quickly depletes their health. At the same time, Taoqi can provide increased E damage, offering some damage support for Danjin.
Although Danjin doesn’t need healing, the significance of a support character lies first in the extension of the buff and sound fragment sets, and second in Verina’s inherent skill 2, which provides one free resurrection, essentially an extra life.
